At Sea Kayak Cyprus Club, sea kayaking can be enjoyed as a beginner-friendly activity, a regular club paddle, a training session, or part of a guided coastal excursion.
What to Expect
During a sea kayaking activity, our team will guide you through the basics before going on the water. You will learn how to sit in the kayak, hold the paddle, move forward, turn, stop, and feel comfortable at sea.

Sea kayaking is suitable for many different people and experience levels. You do not need to be an expert to start. Beginners are welcome, and our team will help you learn step by step.

For safety reasons, each activity is planned according to the weather, sea conditions, and the ability of the group.
Yes. For safety reasons, participation may be limited by age, swimming ability, health condition, weather, sea conditions, and the type of activity. Participants must be able to follow instructions and wear the required safety equipment. We don’t recommend participation for people with serious medical conditions, injuries, or anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Children can join selected sea kayaking activities, depending on the route, weather conditions, and level of difficulty. Younger participants should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
There is no strict maximum age limit. Participants should be comfortable in the water, able to follow safety instructions, and in suitable physical condition for the activity.
In more detail:
infant or child: below the age of 5, are not permitted in our tours for safety issues.
child: between the ages of 5-11 can sit in the middle seat in a double kayak, provided that two adults are participating of which one is a parent/ guardian. Unfortunately only one child can sit in the middle seat, therefore if you are a family with two or more children, please contact us to see how we can accommodate you. Please also note that not all excursions and activities are suitable for children and prior contact is required.
teenagers: of age 12 to 17 can occupy one seat and should be accompanied by one adult/ parent/ guardian.
The maximum participant weight depends on the kayak type, equipment used, and sea conditions on the day. For safety reasons, we may need to confirm this before the activity.
As a general guide, our sea kayaking activities are suitable for participants up to 120kg. Please contact us in advance if you have any concerns, so we can advise you properly.
