What we’ll do

Our sunset kayaking experience is for those who would like enjoy the sunset, the tranquility of the sea, and this unique area while paddling. Although it may look more suitable for couple due to the romanticism the sunset time offers, it does provide a unique experience for all participants.

At first, we will get to know each other at the designated launch site, and we will provide you with the necessary information about the area and equipment (kayak, paddle, PFD). A small kayaking introduction will be given, on how to paddle and self rescue techniques. At this point the equipment will be allocated to the participants and if necessary we will practice what we learn in the water.

The adventure begins and we will start paddling towards the sunset, where we will explore the area but most importantly we will experience the kayaking at this golden hour. We will paddle together at a relaxed pace where all participants are staying together as a group. Depending on the weather (waves and wind) we could potentially weave through the limestones of the area and visit small coves. On our way we will enjoy the sunset and the tranquility that the sea has to offer.

A perfect setting for the romantic ones with a bit of an adventure dose.

Sunscreen and sunglasses are Not required!

Duration: 1.5-2 hours, but please allow for 2.5 hours just in case we decide to enjoy the scenery and the susnet a bit longer.

Important notes

(I) We might expect light wind and waves, and people with known sea sickness are Not advised to participate.
(II) This is an Adults Only Event.
(III) This activity is suitable for beginners confident with paddling at light winds and waves.
(IV) Please note that this excursion is not performed where there are facilities like changing rooms and toilets, either at the beginning of the excursion or during the break.

Other things to note

This activity is offered as an experience. Participants should expect moderate work out but we also adjust to the group strength and stamina.
Most of the kayaks are double, so there is a chance you will be sitting and socializing with someone else.

What’s included

Drink and fruits

On our stop we love to have a drink and some fruits before we head back. Vegan friendly choices so no one should worry about allergies or food restrictions.

Equipment

Sit-on-top sea kayaks by Ocean Kayak are provided, with associated equipment (Paddle and PFD). Sit-on-tops offer superior stability and the easy of access in case we deiced to go swimming!
Photographs are hard at low lighting conditions but we will try and do our best and send a link on a later date to download them.

Where we’ll meet

We will meet at Governors beach, located in the east of Lemesos and is close proximity from Lemesos and Larnaca.
